The brochure was set on a Macintosh nobody trusted, run twice through a four-colour press at the corner shop, and folded by hand in the school library the night before the show. It was not very good. But it taught one thing that the next twenty-six years didn't unteach — that the work has to leave the studio, even if the studio is a back-bedroom and the kerning is still wrong.
An imprint is not a logo. It is the small mark a piece of work leaves when it is set in front of someone who didn't ask for it.
The discipline of cueing — knowing what fires when, what lands on whose foot, who has the next line — became the discipline of every project that followed. Studios are stages. Launches are productions. The audience always arrives.
The fieldwork from five atolls in 2010–11 informed every project that came after. The framework itself was shelved by the political turmoil of 2011, but the network — the people in five atolls who became collaborators — didn't shelve.
A learning application for Maldivian children, ages 3–11. Critical thinking and Dhivehi Language Arts, taught in the language they speak at home. Building what the national curriculum hasn't.

Project-managed five islands in Malé Atoll. Hired and trained a generation of young Maldivians into surveyors, carpenters, MEP technicians.
A national framework for the creative industries — drafted at MEC, shelved by 2011's political turmoil. The fieldwork from five atolls still informs every project that came after.
The Atoll TV broadcast room in 2008 taught the difference between transmitting and being heard — between the late-night colour-bar standby and the moment a programme actually reaches a living room. Some pieces in English. Some in Dhivehi. None in a hurry.
i. Status audit. A discussion to uncover goals, pain points, and the opportunities hiding inside them.
ii. Strategic analysis. Independent diagnosis. Where the system is leaking. Where it is quietly working.
iii. Collaborative brainstorm. Working sessions with your team — building the vocabulary so the strategy survives.
iv. Strategic roadmap. A clear, concise document with actionable recommendations and a phased plan.
The Atelier holds the biographical work — five rooms, 1998 → 2026, the chapters that taught the next chapter. The Studio holds what's on the workbench right now — pieces still in motion, prototypes still being passed around, drafts that haven't yet decided what they want to be.
